# V49 — Booking and Care Request Reliability

## Source
User-uploaded V48 project.

## Verified in code and patched
- Home-care wizard Step 3 now stores the preferred start date as ISO text so Django JSON sessions can serialize it.
- Care-request review redirects incomplete requests to Step 3 rather than allowing a premature submission.
- Availability API returns HTTP 400 JSON for invalid date parameters instead of potentially throwing a server error.

## Reviewed, unchanged
- Telehealth booking reserves a slot within an atomic transaction with capacity checks.
- Existing appointment creation, notification, optional Paystack redirect, staff pages and care-request submission flow retained.
- No model or migration changes. No existing records altered.

## Limitations and manual checks
- No end-to-end browser or payment gateway tests performed.
- Test valid/invalid slot dates, fully booked slots, booking POST, wizard Step 1–3 with preferred date, review, and success.
- Test notification configuration in staging; avoid submitting real patient information.
- Production Python 3.9/Django 4.2 compatibility profile is end-of-support; plan a supported runtime migration before handling real patient data.
